I forgot my password or login. Can you help?
Yup. We have a whole page just for you. Go to the
forgot password
page and follow the instructions there. You'll be asked to provide the email address you used when you signed up.
How do I join ManTestedRecipes?
It's easier than a two-foot putt. We'll just need your email address and a little bit of information about you. As a member you'll inspire awe across the entire Internet by posting your best recipes. You can also comment on other mens' recipes, and connect with other cooks. Sound good?
Go to our registration page to get started.
Why can't I get the user name that I want?
Sorry champ, but someone beat you to it. Think of it as an opportunity to come up with another, better name. Instead of "DaveP" you might try "AwesomeDaveP" or "DavePTheGreat."
Can I change my password?
Can I change my email address?
Can I change my user name?
Short answer: No. Longer answer: Our customer support team might change your user name if you have a really good reason. Will changing your user name save the life of your faithful hunting dog? That's the type of thing that might convince them. Plead your case to
CustomerSupport@ManTestedRecipes.com.
How do I submit a recipe for publication on ManTestedRecipes?
Glad you asked. First, you must join the site.
Once you've done that (or if you're already a member), it's pretty darn easy.
Just click
submit a recipe.
You can choose to submit it as a public recipe
or you can keep it as a draft or for personal use by choosing to save it as a private recipe.
How do I review or comment on a recipe?
Just like your little league baseball coach, we love a little chatter. To give your two cents about a recipe, click "Add a review" to the right of the recipe photo.
How do I search for a recipe?
There's a big honkin' search box at the top of the site, always. Type in what you're looking for and click Search (or just press Enter). Because this isn't 1998, you don't have to search by recipe name. You can also search for keywords like "Super Bowl" or "spicy" or "pasta." You can also try one of the searches listed below:
Recipe search:
To conduct a general search, enter a title or keyword in the search box on the top navigation. Or
What's Ingredient Search?
When you have a bunch of ingredients but don't know what to do with them, try the
ingredient search
page.
What’s the difference between Recipe and Ingredient Search?:
Recipe search
finds you recipes for "Tomato Sauce" from scratch. The
ingredient search
will find recipes that use "Tomato Sauce" as an ingredient.
Using filters:
Once you've searched for a recipe title, keyword or ingredient
filter your results using the links on the left hand side.
I have a question about a specific recipe. What should I do?
Our first step is always to call Mom. But if you can't reach her, there are
some good general cooking resources out there on the Internet.
For general cooking questions, you may send an email to
CustomerSupport@ManTestedRecipes.com.
We can get a little swamped, especially around March Madness time (wink, wink) so please forgive if you don't get your answer right away.
Where can I get nutritional information on a recipe?
Recipes we get from sponsors sometimes have nutritional information, but most of our recipes don't. If you must know the exact nutritional data for everything you ingest, try the U.S. Department of Agriculture's online National Nutrient Database.
What should I do about offensive or abusive content?
Let's face it: Some people are jerks. We'd like to keep ManTestedRecipes as jerk-free as possible (although Jerk Chicken is okay.)
All kidding aside, if you see that someone has posted something offensive, abusive, or generally jerk-like, please email us at CustomerSupport@ManTestedRecipes.com, and we'll look into it.
If you aren't sure what's acceptable, use our
Terms and Conditions of Use
as a guide.
