In a saucepan, melt butter on medium-low heat. Add garlic and salt and let cook 3 minutes. Stir in balsamic vinegar and oregano and cook another minute.

Cut bread almost all the way through, lengthwise. Spoon garlic mixture evenly over open bread. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Bake for 10 minutes, turn the oven to broil and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the bread starts to get crispy on top.
