Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Spread the 2 cans of pie filling in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Evenly spread the cake mix over the cherries.

Slowly pour the melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much of the cake as possible. Don't worry that you can't cover it all.

Bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes.

Let cool, serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
