2 pounds yellow split peas
16 cups water
1/2 tablespoon black pepper
1/2 tablespoon coriander
1/2 tablespoon cumin
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 tablespoon ginger
1/2 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon Johnny's (R) Jamaica Me Crazy(R) seasoning
Put peas in large kettle with water and bring to a boil for 5 minutes.

Reduce heat to Medium and add all ingredients. Stir frequently and cook until peas have completely turned to a pureed-like consistency, 2 to 3 hours. You can also transfer the soup to a crockpot to minimize the work of stirring.
