Bacon Salt Fried Chicken

Delicious baconey fried chicken.

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds chicken breasts
1 cup buttermilk
Texas Pete(R) hot sauce to taste
Bacon salt
1 cup flour
3/4 cups bread crumbs
Bacon salt
fresh ground black pepper
salt
peanut oil

Preparation method

1. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk, Texas Pete, bacon salt for about 15 minutes.
2. Heat enough oil to cover the chicken on medium high to high temperature.
3. Mix the flour, breadcrumbs, bacon salt, pepper and salt in a bowl. Add a layer of pepper and bacon salt to the top.
4. Dip the chicken in the flour, covering all sides and fry. Fry approximately 5 to 10 minutes depending on the chicken size. Add a layer of bacon salt and pepper to top of flour mixture prior to dipping the next batch of chicken.
