Deep Fried Pickles

Like a veggie version of a deep fried Twinkie. The deep fried pickle has the same moist inside for a satisfying deep fried experience.

Vegetable oil, for frying

1 cup flour

1 packet ranch dressing mix

2 large dill pickles, thinly sliced

1.
Fill a deep fryer with vegetable oil according to manufacturer's instructions. Heat to 360 degrees F.

Stir flour and ranch dressing mix together in a shallow pie pan. Toss pickle slices in the mixture to coat.
3.
Fry pickle slices in batches in hot oil for about 45 seconds each batch, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
4.
Serve with ranch or barbecue sauce for dipping.

Terrific. You bite into them and immediately get a salty, briny payoff. Will make again for football season.
