B's BBQ Beans

Ingredients

• 2 (15 ounce) cans pork and beans (drain off some liquid), or 3 to 4 cups Ranch Beans (see recipe on this site)
• 1 (24 ounce) bottle thick BBQ sauce (I use Sweet Baby Ray's)
• 1/3 cup brown sugar
• 2 to 3 tablespoons molasses
• 1 to 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
• few drops hot sauce
• 1 pound cooked and drained ground beef
• 8 ounces sliced fresh or canned mushrooms
• 1 green pepper, sliced
• 1 white onion, chopped
• 8 strips bacon, cooked and chopped
• 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
• 4 to 5 splashes bitters (optional)
