Butter, white wine, and a squeeze of lemon are all you need for a great marinade for grilled venison. This will get rid of the "gamey" taste in venison.
Put the butter, wine, garlic salt, and pepper into a zip-top bag. Squeeze in the lemon and mix well.

Put your venison in the marinade, press out the air, and seal the bag. Marinate at room temperature 1 1/2 to 2 hours. (Do not put in fridge or butter will harden back up).
