Most of this time is hands-off. Get your food cooking and go watch a movie.
I was eating some fajitas and rice one day and wondered "how about I combine this somehow?" This is the result. Green salad and corn bread are very good complementary dishes.
If you like fluffy brown bread this it. No white flour here. You can use any 100% whole grain wheat flour. I mill my own. This bread is not heavy like most 100% whole wheat breads. If it is you used too much flour and your dough was too stiff. If it flattens out and won't stand up you need more flour. The total amount of flour is usually about 7 cups. This recipe has been in my family for years and we all make it. We make a lot more now that we have powerful mixers and the hand kneading is bye bye.
Fast and easy gazpacho for hot summer days. Top with cilantro and tortilla chips.
Based on the Kirkland(R) Blueberry and Pecan Cereal this hearty bread has the subtle flavor of a great Blueberry muffin. Soooo good warm from the machine, cooled later and toasted. This will be your breakfast bread for special days!
Great spread with cream cheese and/or Nutella or just plain butter. Toasts up great. My kids loved it with peanut butter.
Absolutely the best pecan pie ever! What's more Southern than pecan pie? How about one that only takes 5 minutes to prepare?! Pecan pie even a New Yorker can enjoy...
Asian-influenced preparation of adzuki beans and squash.
A delicious recipe for brunch or anytime.
Another of my Super Bowl creations that was a huge hit with all who tried it.
Easy to make chocolate cake covered with a delectable topping of coconut, almonds, and chocolate.
If you have ever been to Nova Scotia you would have seen these sweet & spicy little wraps in every little pizza shop or corner store. This recipe is easy to make and sooo good to eat.
This was my favorite to eat, and now it's my favorite to make.
A deliciously alcoholic and sweet apple pie, using Kahlua liqueur to lend a complex flavor.
A flavorful apple walnut bread. Great for breakfast or as a dessert
The simplicity of 3 beans with the hint of a little bite. Friend tested and approved.
Spring is right around the corner, this is a great "sit outside and enjoy a nice cold beverage" recipe to celebrate the end of winter.
My aunt has been making this recipe since she married my uncle. One day, my mother borrowed the recipe and invited them for dinner. My uncle thought it was the best chili he had ever had and told my aunt she should get the recipe for it to make it later. Suffice to say, my aunt was not pleased - but she still makes it for him.
This is a recipe direct from my Irish/Welsh ancestors. Keep in mind, sugar and other ingredients were hard to come by before the early 1900's.
Easy curry that even a simple boy like me can make. Serve over rice. Enjoy!
This is a recipe that I came up with by combining several general versions. It is a little bit costly but it is well worth it for this irresistible dish. Mushrooms and two types of cheese in a rich creamy sauce makes this melt in your mouth. Everyone loves this version and I haven't seen one like this anywhere.
