Brandy and Soda
First I heard of this cocktail was in Hemingway’s “A Moveable Feast.” It’s a nice change of pace from a scotch and soda.
Mountain Margarita
Mountain Dew(R) and tequila = Margarita in this recipe! So simple you'll wish you had thought of it first.
College Dorm Beer-ritas
We used to make these in the dorm and invite a group over. Makes about 1 pitcher. We had to limit everyone to 2 at first since it would tend to hit when we thought it wouldn't. If you're really brave try to play beer pong with it.
Motown Hummer
My brother introduced this cocktail to me some twenty years ago, and just like the vehicle it's seemingly named after: if you don't respect it, it can be deadly. It's a dessert drink that's refreshingly delicious, and so good it will have you humming; hence the name, "... Hummer".
Jack Rose Cocktail
If it’s the 1920s, and you’re Jake Barnes meeting Lady Brett Ashley at a hotel bar in Paris, order one of these. Lady Ashley’s known to keep you waiting.
Penne with Seared Flank Steak
Seared flank steak is sliced up and stirred into penne pasta with Alfredo sauce and diced tomatoes. Ample fresh basil and Parmesan cheese finish it off! I have also made this with grilled chicken instead of steak.
Spring Hill Ranch Go-To Grilled Steak 1
These are one of our go-to everyday steaks. Our beef is home-grown and dry aged and you don't want to ruin the flavor of great beef by covering it over with too much in the way of herbs and spices. This marinade gives us a really nice touch of Southwestern living while grilling up juicy and tender.
Spring Hill Ranch Go-To Grilled Steak 2
Here's another steak we love here at the ranch. This one has a teriyaki-based marinade. As always, the marinade does not overpower the flavor of top quality beef, but instead adds a light and surprisingly good seasoning. The grilling time can be adjusted to your liking, but as written should give you medium rare 1 1/4" thick steaks, and slightly more done 1" steaks.
Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies
Why make cookies without flour? I dunno, but it seemed like a good idea! (Besides, some folks aren't compatible with gluten!). I got the idea from someone else, but this is my own way of doing it to peanut butter cookies. People who have tried them are unbelieving that there is no flour and you will be, too, when you try them! Oh, and the "36 servings?" Actually, that's 36-40 cookies
Ancho Chili Rub
A spicy seasoning with just a touch of sweetness gives a Tex-Mex flavor to meat and veggies.
Cinnamon Coffee Rub
This rub has the flavor of coffee, the spice of cayenne, the sweetness of brown sugar, and whatever you want to say cinnamon tastes like. Makes for a unique steak. Inspired by teamswitch's "Coffee-Crusted Beef Tenderloin Steak"
Sweet New Mexico Marinade
Simple to make, and well worth it if you have the ingredients. Inspired by WileyP's "Spring Hill Ranch Go-To Grilled Steak 1"
Brown Sugar Chive Marinade
Chives power this sweet and savory marinade. Inspired by WileyP's "Spring Hill Ranch Go-To Grilled Steak"
