This recipe began as an experiment to see if the flavor of my favorite martini would or could transfer into a burger; I'm happy to say that it works. I think it tastes amazing. The tart flavor of the gin and juniper berries cuts through the hearty beef right to the tastebuds, and the cocktail olives and onions in the tapenade provide a salty kick to make it taste like Saturday night. The Dirty Burgertini is bar culture flavor carried to the extreme. ©2010 Anthony Taylor

Believe it or not, some burgers are meant to be eaten with a knife and fork. One of my favorites is that way - this one! It's a grilled burger served open-faced and slathered with a good helping of chili that's homemade especially for this application. It takes a little effort to put it all together, but nothing about it is difficult...and it is soooo worth it! Serve with an ice-cold beer and a little greenery on the side.

Italian-seasoned beef prepared with balsamic vinegar, mozzarella cheese, marinara, and a slice of pepperoni to top it off. If you desire, heat up the pepperoni, marinara, and maybe melt the cheese a little in a toaster oven or microwave prior to preparing the burger.

Who says only a man knows how to make "man food"? Not me! I'm an Army wife and I make this recipe for my husband and his fellow men in uniform all the time. They absolutely love them and this recipe is one of the first things they want when they come back from this deployment. This recipe is hearty, tasty and can fill up any man!

My aunt has been making this recipe since she married my uncle. One day, my mother borrowed the recipe and invited them for dinner. My uncle thought it was the best chili he had ever had and told my aunt she should get the recipe for it to make it later. Suffice to say, my aunt was not pleased - but she still makes it for him.

This is all southern: Bacon; a good barbecue rub; mac cheese, which is a "vegetable" down south; and a Brussels sprout slaw (made with bacon grease, of course). Serve this only to the hungry.

The trifecta of delicious: bacon, cheeseburgers, and pasta. Not to mention ridiculously easy to make.
