The New Classic Italian Pizza
Recipe by:
King Daddy
This pizza is a modified version of the first pizzas created in Italy. The only difference is this pizza includes spices, in which the the true Italian pizzas contained only dough, tomato sauce, and mozzarella cheese. This recipe will make more than enough sauce for your pizza. So you can store the rest of the sauce for another time.
Chicken Marsala with Lemon
Recipe by:
Ryan W
This is a Marsala sauce with large sliced portobellos and lemon, which gives it a bit of a twist. My wife and I have been trying to match our local Italian place's sauce and I think we did it.
Spring Hill Ranch Chicken and Sausage Pasta
I generally like a little meat with my pasta dishes. When I was making maranara sauce with this years crop of tomatoes, I just naturally had to try it out, so I put some chicken and sausage with it, added a little red wine and cream cheese and voila! Sister gave it a gold star!
Italian Stallion Burgers
This is a recipe for Italian Burgers. When I think of Italian, I think of Rocky Balboa...the man's man. The one who doesn't give up. Even if that burger is big and meaty. This burger adds Italian seasonings, vermicelli noodles (yes, I said noodles, what are you deaf?), 'shrooms and lots of great pasta sauce!! Yummy for your Tummy! (Yes, I said tummy and I'll say it again. Want to fight about it??)
Bowties and Beans in Butter & Garlic
The name is only half the story! I take al dente farfalle (bowties cooked just right), add some artichoke hearts and cannellini (white) beans, and toss the whole thing in butter and sautéed garlic. Delicious!
Alberta Surprise
The name says nothing about what this recipe is. It's not Canadian. It's not French. It's not surprising. It's epically Italian.

Bachelor's Lasagna
Recipe by:
Rabyn
I've been trying to perfect the perfect lasagna, for my tastes at least. It's been a long road, and I've played with it and tweaked it quite a bit and now, I love it,all my friends seem to wolf it up. I made the instructions non cook friendly and simple. It's good when it's done, it's better after it's been in the fridge the next day.

Carpaccio of beef has become famous throughout the world as modern Italian cuisine.
Carbonara
Recipe by:
Manuela
This recipe is for people that love pasta. You can have it with family or cook it for your partner as romantic dinner. You can make modifications to the recipe if you do not like something like the wine or mushrooms; they can be left out and you can make a simple carbonara sauce if you would like. This recipe just adds a little spice to the standard carbonara sauce. Hope you enjoy!!! Serve with a little sprinkle of extra Parmesan cheese and pepper if you would like.
Cannoli Filling
Recipe by:
Anthony
The sweetest treat of the Italian bakery. If you can't make it to Little Italy (or Big Italy) make it in your own kitchen.
Cheese and Bacon Pasta Salad

This is a take off on the classic Bacon Ranch salad. My family wanted a little more zip and character. Since I first made this, it is the only recipe people want me to make for pot lucks.

This recipe was given to me by my Mother who lives on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I have to throw a party each time I make this, it needs to be shared with others! Serve over rice and garnish with parsley and green onion.

A delicious and hearty soup with sausage, beans, and vegetables that is thick enough to make a meal! I serve this with a side of Italian bread with butter or extra virgin olive oil, oregano, toasted garlic, and basil to taste.
Docv's 6 Cheese Focaccia Bread

Lightly crushed, nicely seasoned cheesy herb bread. Great as snack, side dish, and with soup, salad or pasta dish. But make up your mind fast because it won't last very long at all!!
Double Tomato Risotto
Recipe by:
Drew
A simple delicious risotto with sun-dried and Roma tomatoes. I like to add in turkey polpettini (small meatballs about the size of a nickel).
