Italian-seasoned beef prepared with balsamic vinegar, mozzarella cheese, marinara, and a slice of pepperoni to top it off. If you desire, heat up the pepperoni, marinara, and maybe melt the cheese a little in a toaster oven or microwave prior to preparing the burger.

If you like fluffy brown bread this it. No white flour here. You can use any 100% whole grain wheat flour. I mill my own. This bread is not heavy like most 100% whole wheat breads. If it is you used too much flour and your dough was too stiff. If it flattens out and won't stand up you need more flour. The total amount of flour is usually about 7 cups. This recipe has been in my family for years and we all make it. We make a lot more now that we have powerful mixers and the hand kneading is bye bye.

A quick, nutritious, low-fat recipe that's inexpensive to make, yet has a ton of flavor. The medley of beans pairs nicely with the wild rice. Serve with a loaf of fresh bread and you're in heaven!

This is not your average lasagna. With 5 different cheeses mixed with seasoned meat, it will make your mouth water.

This is a recipe I created with my Lithuanian roommate back home in Dublin. We took a bog-standard Leek and potato soup recipe, and turned it into something special with the addition of Vodka. To turn this into a main course soup, add 2 cups of cooked chicken meat at the same stage as the vodka and stir gently. The alcohol cooks well out, but the vodka gives this dish an interesting sweetness.

Contrary to popular belief, Wienerschnitzel is NOT German! In fact, the name gives it away: Wiener, the German word for Vienna. It is an Austrian dish, and one that relies on true simplicity to work. This is the recipe as found at Schnitzelwirt in Vienna. It can be made with almost any meat, but below I give instructions for a veal or pork schnitzel.

This City Chicken recipe is a favorite with friends and family. The Parmesan and mushrooms give a unique flavour to traditional City Chicken. Can be served as a main dish or as a tasty snack with any dipping sauce.

This is a great way to marinate chicken for grilling either in the oven or out of doors. I reccomend you use a a high quality beer, as this is a key flavour component in the recipe. If you don't want to cook with alcohol, substitute an alcohol free beer, or a good quality apple juice or cider.

My fathers and his Chinese "Brothers"recipe for the best deep fried shrimp, now famous in our town. You can even put these on the grill. For a sauce ketchup and horseradish work great but these are great by themselves!

I invented this recipe to make due with what I had on hand one day. I didn't have flour or eggs, so decided to try making a cookie using cornstarch that still had a good texture, and these came out surprisingly good.
