Cook rice on the stovetop--it's easy, with virtually endless variations on flavor, texture, and spiciness.
A quick, nutritious, low-fat recipe that's inexpensive to make, yet has a ton of flavor. The medley of beans pairs nicely with the wild rice. Serve with a loaf of fresh bread and you're in heaven!
My Grandma used to make this for us all the time because it's quick and easy, and cheap. Chocolate rice is a Guamanian dessert almost like sweet chocolate porridge.

A simple rice salad with yellow curry, marinated artichoke hearts, served hot or cold.
My brother Jake and I ate this dish almost everyday on a surfing trip to Costa Rica. This is my best approximation of it. Very hearty, tasty meal.

This is a quick side dish that is great with any Mexican dish.
Browning rice before steaming gives it a great nutty flavor that complements most dishes. This rice can easily be used where long grained and brown rice usually used. This is great under tomato and chicken based recipes.
My Grandparents always made this for family get-togethers and potlucks.
A delicious and fairly easy to make 'casserole' type of recipe that combines marinated chicken with rice, cheese, and broccoli. It mainly uses a Broccoli & Cheese rice mix (like Uncle Ben's, Lipton, etc.), I use the Broccoli & Cheese, but experiment with other mixes to find the flavor you like!)
Black Rice aka Dirty Rice. This is a turkey stuffing most often used in the South in place of traditional bread dressings. The blacker the rice; the better the stuffing. The s e c r e t of black rice is the chicken livers. The darker you cook them the blacker the rice. Also you can add more livers if you want.
This is just a simple rice pilaf recipe. It is easy to make and it has always been a hit with friends and family. The variations I have listed I often use depending on the occasion and guest I have over. But it's great just straight up with no additions. I hope you enjoy.
Cream of chicken gravy over white rice. The ingredients for this recipe are not gourmet, but the taste is gourmet.
Simple Spanish rice recipe I threw together. One of my kids, who is not a fan of Spanish rice, even enjoyed it.
Tangy white wine and lemon-pepper chicken recipe that uses Jasmine rice. The kids loved it, so that says a lot! The fact that it's very easy is a plus.
Ridiculously easy dessert that is basically a throw together of various ingredients. I came up with this on a hunch, and it is now one of my friends' and family's favorites.
The world's perfect Red Beans & Rice.
A great meal with grilled tofu, spinach, and Indian-spiced rice. All ingredients compliment each other to make an excellent Indian-inspired dinner.
