Chili Powder

Make your own special blend of pain or pleasure. I make my own Chili powder to add an extra special original flavor to my chili. I tend to add many more types of dried chili peppers to the mix, last time I used 6 types - whatever the store has at the time. Also you may want to put saran wrap over the carafe before putting the top on and blending as if any of this fine dust gets in the air it will feel like you've been pepper sprayed (trust me on this one).

This is a recipe that I have decided to make after reviewing many Texas Chili recipes. I believe it to be my own, with the right amount of "heat." This goes well with Cheez-It(R) crackers mixed in or with French bread and honey butter.

Tray's Spicy Texas Chili
Recipe by:

Being in Texas, chili is a staple on the few cold days we have each year. This is something I've come up with after years of trying to perfect an easy to make and delicious chili. This is a very spicy chili and the perfect meal for a chilly day. The beans are optional here as they traditionally aren't found in Texas chili.
